With time, design changes (mainly in the materials used for the manufacture of the conveyor). Originally, the shafted screw was used as a pump for river water. Now it is used to transport bulk materials safely and efficiently.
Shafted screw conveyors have become a common in the management process for bulk materials.
Their function is to extract, transport and distribute the material from one place to another for processing in an efficient manner.
They can be used in a wide range of industrial applications, for which reason they are one of the most efficient and economic solutions for transporting dry or semi-dry materials from one process to another.
The Conveyors from Sinfines Factory, S.L.
We manufacture conveyors to industry standards, or to order, under the CEMA and ATEX regulations.
Sinfines Factory S.L. designs and manufactures its own range of helicoidal screw conveyors according to the product to be transported and the specific requirements of our customers.
Our spirals are not exclusively used for the extraction, transport and distribution of certain products. They can also be designed to mix different materials to form a final, homogeneous product.
Our screw conveyors can be manufactured in a wide range of sizes using different materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel (AISI 304 and AISI316), with wear-resistant alloys to satisfy your needs and requirements.
Our range of conveyors is complemented by our shaftless screw conveyors designed for use with viscous materials and at a higher rate of activity.
Example of use
An example of a typical retractable, upside-down, level-loading screw conveyor. The product is inserted through an inlet ramp above the conveyor belt. The product drops through the screw and accumulates below the conveyor, where the product reaches the spiral thread it begins to move forward and continues to move the product at the pre-established height until an operator stops the conveyor or level sensors situated at the end of the container stops it. Once the conveyor has been stopped it can be retracted by the hoist mechanism.
The spiral channel conveyor, also known as an auger conveyor, is basically composed of a “U”-shaped exterior channel with the top part covered and screwed into place. The sealing systems, bearings support and the motors are mounted at the ends of the equipment.
This type of equipment allows complete access for maintenance of the interior screw, as well as any other elements, such as intermediate supports, contact channels.
Measurements can be adapted to the requirements of each installation.
